American poet and critic, Eli Siegel won the Nation magazine's poetry prize in 1925 for his groundbreaking poem 'Hot Afternoons Have Been in Montana.' He founded the philosophy Aesthetic Realism in 1941. It is taught today at the not-for-profit Aesthetic Realism Foundation in NYC. ..
