Rich fooles there be, whose base and filthy hartLies hatching still the goods wherein they flow:And damning their owne selues to Tantals smart,Wealth breeding want, more blist, more wretched grow.Yet to those fooles heau'n such wit doth impart,As what their hands do hold, their heads do know,And louing Loue, and louing lay apart,As sacred things, far from all daungers show. But that rich foole who by blind Fortunes lot,The richest gemme of Loue and life enjoyes,And cast with foule abuse such beauties blot;Let him depriued of sweete but vnfelt joyes,(Exil'd for ay from those high treasures, whichHe knowes not) grow in onely follie rich.
